Wearing masks or covering your faces with thick clothes is very very important while going out from home. As it will help to stop spreading the virus from one to another. Also we need to maintain social distancing. Masks are not available in the shops now, so we took an initiative from DVS NGO to distribute masks to poor people and tell them about the importance of it. We have distributed total 1200 masks to the needy people with the presence of our respected MLA Mr. Samir Kumar Jana, BDO of Pathar Pratima Mr. Rathin Ch Dey, Dr. Avik Hati, Upa Pradhan Mr. Rabindra Nath Bera & OC of Dhola Thana
Awareness of COVID 19
Covid 19 or Coronavirus is a deadly virus that has a strong power to kill people in a short span. There are lots of rumors going on due to the dos and don’ts which make people confused. We started an awareness program on COVID 19 to make people understand about the seriousness of staying home and using masks, hand sanitizers or soaps. There is a help line number from our end activated in the area for make people more relaxed.
Awareness on Sanitization
Due to the outbreak of COVID 19 or Coronavirus all over the world, it is very important to stay clean and sanitized every time. A circular has been published by WHO that washing hands and keeping the environment clean is very essential as only this habit can save us from getting affected by COVID 19. As people of rural areas are not fully aware about sanitization, we arrange an awareness program on the uses of sanitization and how to use sanitizers.
Distributing Sanitizers
Sanitizers are really unavailable these days, but we can use soaps instead of sanitizers that will also keep us safe. But as the shops are closed, people can’t buy soaps; that’s why the members of Digambarpur Vivekananda Sanga take an initiative to distribute soaps and masks free of cost in the area of Digambarpur. We have distributed total 1200 sanitizer with the presence of Dr. Avik hati, MLA of Pathar Pratima Block mr. Samir Kumar Jana, BDO of Pathar Pratima block Mr. Rathin Ch Dey, Upa Pradhan of Digambarpur GP Mr. Rabindra Nath Bera & OC of Dhola Hat & Pathar Pratima Thana.
Blood donation camp during Covid 19:-
Our members arrange blood donation camps every year and send those blood bottles to a nearby health center. We all know the value of blood as it can’t be made in factories and this is much needed in this Covid 19 situation. Many patients suffering from chronic diseases, accident cases need blood but have shortage of blood as no organisation is willing to do so . But we organize blood donation camps to meet the need with all the precaution. In our camps, we also have an arrangement of some refreshments. People from nearby areas come to us and we are getting a huge response from them. We send these blood samples to different government hospitals where poor people don’t get blood easily.
